SPY555-CA 是 SPY555 荧光团的氯代烷烃（CA）衍生物。该染料在紫外-可见光谱的橙色区域发射荧光，具有荧光增强特性、优异的细胞膜通透性，特别适合 STED 和 SIM 超分辨率成像。使用标准Cy3 滤光片组即可对 SPY555-CA 进行成像，可广泛应用于活细胞/固定细胞及组织的宽场、共聚焦、SIM 或 STED 成像。其化学结构与《Nature Chemistry》1) 原刊文献中使用的 MaP555-halo 或MaP555-CA 完全相同。
氯代烷烃（CA）是自标记标签 Halo-tag™ 的底物。当与 CA 衍生物反应时，Halo-tag™ 会与底物形成共价键，从而可将荧光标记永久连接到任何表达为 Halo-tag™* 融合的靶蛋白（POI）上。
